Bathrooms
A bathroom is the easiest room to do badly and the most expensive to fix when the waterproofing fails. I do it once, properly.
Full strip-outs back to the studs, then rebuilt from the ground up. The part that matters most is the part you never see: the waterproofing. Get it wrong and you are pulling tiles off in two years. I do it to standard, let it cure, and only then do the tiles go on.
From there it is your call on the look. Floor-to-ceiling tiles, a proper wet area, a freestanding tub, good light and ventilation so it actually dries out. Old leaking ensuite to a bathroom you are happy to show people.
